These last 2 weeks have been amazing! Really amazing! The trip to Lubbock really changed how i am going to do things in the future with speaking and dealing with people. One thing that im learning is how to speak to different people. I mean like the energy level change that has to happen, the type of slang to use or not to use, the joking that changes, the atmosphere of the room, etc. It all goes into play when you speak in front of people!

I got to face a major fear of mine, speaking in front of college students. Oh my gosh, i was so scared, i thought they would boo me off the stage. But then i got reminded that it was my job to speak to their hearts. God is entrusting me to be His mouth. Needless to say it was a huge eye- opener and i cant wait to speak to college groups again this summer! God gave me the right words and attitude as i got to go up in front and share His heart for them!

High School and children are completely different as well! I am seriously learning how to do so many things in the midst of fear and out of weakness God is strong. Fear is not of God, and He always gives when we are willing to go out and work in faith. He is so amazing!

Some big news for the future, I met someone who knows how to put some conferences together and is willing to help put them on and plan them out with me! I got to meet him at the last Get Motivated Seminar, yet again another work of God. We were blowing up beach balls and he walked up and we went off on something and will soon be working towards that goal!

Another way God is moving in the youth direction is i get to meet with a great man of God through MCCC and learn how to do some designing for shirts and other things. That is such a valuable thing to learn when going into youth ministry. We have to keep young peoples attention if we want them to come to know God.

I believe there is more to come and am so expectant on Gods' promises that there is no room to stop now! There is always going to be things that get in the way but Gods love will never fail and we, everyday people, are right in the middle of His love! So keep going and never forget God is always there!

Starting Something

This is my first blog. Coming with this first comes another first.

When i woke up this morning i knew today would have some special meaning or profound new thought (at least profound to me). So i'm looking for something.

When all of a sudden I look out the window of the MC building and notice something that hadn't been there the day before. Something that in winter you almost seem to forget about because you focus so much on staying warm that you dont really look around, at least i don't. But this morning it was a beautiful morning with the sun about to come up and there, right in front of the sunrise, is a tree that has bloomed pure white flowers. It looks like flowers anyway. Directly behind it is the sun coming up and trying to show its light through the clouds that are pure white, they make the flowers on the tree an even more intense white. It is seriously amazing. I wish i could have some sort of super video recorder because a normal camera would not even come close to being able portray this the way it was intended to be seen.

Through this whole time i keep thinking to myself, "this is a day of new beginnings." New blooming, new pureness, new life. Its so intense like a rush of rogue waves. You dont know when they are going to come, but you sure do know when they hit you! They might turn your whole life upside down or maybe just give you a big scare or get your heart going. But one thing is for sure, it will change your life.

Thats how this morning was for me, a complete rush. So if anybody out there needs some sort of hope then maybe you should go outside and watch the sunrise. I hope it does as much for you as it did for me this morning!
